					  My Favorite Food Tour  - What a fantastic food tour! We did the Ortigia Vegan Street Food Tour. It was the very first food tour in YEARS that I was actually full before it was... read more over!  Often it is small bites of food and you have to eat a meal after the tour.  Not this one.  The food was varied and delicious.  Because Tania is willing to do small tours, she is open to  the input of her clients and asked us - would you rather this or that about food choices which was amazing.  While neither of us are vegan (but very plant leaning) it was so nice not to have to worry about my food (dairy) allergy. I have just moved to Ortigia and this was a great tour to introduce me to several shops and restaurants I will want to frequent. Not only did she talk about the places we went, but she gave helpful tips for other places on the island as well.  The best part (as if there could be more) is Tania's personality.  She is kind and funny and it is clear all of the businesses really like collaborating with her. Now when I visit those same places, the owners and staff remember me and are welcoming to me and I am sure that is because of Tania! A great introduction to the island as a resident. I will be taking other friends on this tour!

We learned some history, laughed, and enjoyed lots of tastings of traditional Sicilian foods. ... read more You don't need breakfast or lunch on this tour, we tried arancini, granita, panelle and more and we both left VERY satisfied!  We would highly recommend this tour to others visiting the area!

We wanted to do something fun on our last night and saw the chocolate and wine tasting from Tonia. Initially there was no chocolate winetasting on Tuesdays but she arranged it still for us at the chocolate shop. Very nice and loads of chocolate to taste! Tonia is very sweet and helpful and would recommend a tour with her :)

If you are a vegan visiting ortigia, this is the perfect introduction! Tonia took us on a fun, delicious and interesting tour through the historic island and she doesn't only know the stuff you'll find online. She knows that one super delicious cake in the cosy café that is vegan (but not labeled, because it traditionally is without animal products) and where you can find the best vegan arancini. Great experience, clear recommendation!

The vegan food tour is an amazing introduction to the history and food of Ortigia. Tonia is warm and friendly and shares her experiences living in the area as an expat. We are not vegan but enjoy vegan foods and she introduced it to some delicious traditional foods of the area that happen to be vegan. I highly recommend booking this tour for your visit to Ortigia.

Tonia's Vegan Street Food Tour is an all-around wonderful experience. This is SO much more than a vegan food tour! As we walked around the island, we also got to take in some of the beautiful and historic sights, while Tonia told us about the local history. By the way, she's fabulous! She is funny, insightful, engaging, and more. What is more, it was delightful to witness the fun relationships she has with people at the eateries we stopped at! On that note, the food was fantastic! From sweet to savory, over the course of 3-hours, we got to enjoy a (more than) full-meal treat. We can't recommend this tour enough!

Tonia is such a welcoming, friendly, and engaging host. She communicated with me well before the tour. I was late due to bus delays, but she kindly waited for me and assured me that it was okay since it was just the two of us that day. I had a great time walking through Ortigia. We stopped along the way for 4 different treats (included in the street food tour), which were all delicious while she shared stories and histories behind the food. I especially appreciated being able to sit down at these places and eat and chat. The overall pace of the tour was very comfortable. I highly recommend this experience!
