You do not need... read more to be vegan to enjoy this tour. We had 4 non-vegans in our family on this tour and they all enjoyed the vegan food. The restaurants themselves were fun to visit to see how food is served in another country. Tonia knew all the restaurant owners, which made it a great experience. The restaurant MOON was especially pretty with fun decor and very kind owners. The walk around Ortigia was also a lot of fun and very interesting. Tonia was a special person and gave us a really memorable tour.

The walking pace was moderate, and mostly flat.  Tonia... read more knew the local history and interesting stories about the sites and attraction. She was very friendly and was happy to tell her backstory along with the local history.  Time well spent!

A great food (and some history, too) tour! I actually am not vegan, but this tour's timing fitted me much better than the regular ones, so I went with this one a what great choice it was. Tonia is an awesome guide, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is simply amazing.

Three hours of walking, talking, laughing, eating the most delicious vegan food [from hot to cold; savoury to sweet], plus learning about the history of this tiny little island nestled off Siracusa, Sicily. Tonia is so delightful, and so knowledgeable about this part of the world where she now resides…and she’s clearly done her homework in order to create an inspiring, fact-filled and fun-filled journey. The Food Tour was an absolutely great experience ! Tonia is the perfect tour guide and has funny and interesting stories about food and mythology to tell. She also told us a lot about the history of the city. The food was delicious and we came back later to eat in one of the restaurants that Tonia showed us. Informative and fun tour for vegans and non-vegans alike. Tonia the guide for this tour is the type of person you immediately want to be friends with when you meet. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious which flows into the tour. The tour was paced well with the right amount of food and space in between. It was neither too much nor too little food. All the food from the various establishments was excellent. I would definitely take non-vegan friends to these places without hesitation. The other part of the tour was the history, culture, tips and hidden gems of Ortigia. I have family in the Siracusa area and I still learned some things I didn't know. In Sicily food, history and culture are all intertwined. You can't talk about one without the others and this tour did an excellent job of reflecting that. For English speaking travelers in Southeastern Sicily I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. It's a wonderful way to spend a few hours in beautiful Siracusa tasting great food, enriching your knowledge with an amazing guide!

An amazing vegan food tour in Ortigia, the highlight of my stay there. Tonia was a knowledgeable guide and passionate about what she does. The group was friendly and I had lots of fun getting to know the history of the place and trying the best vegan Sicilian food. It’s not just a food tour as Tonia took us around the most notable spots in Ortigia and had lots of history facts under her belt. It should be the first thing you do to get to know the place and all the vegan spots
